Busy Weekend

This past weekend we were so busy. I feel like with the Holidays coming up and us traveling it is going to be crazy from now until who knows when! On Friday I had a Pampered Chef party with some friends, it was a lot of fun and I was able to buy some new goodies for my kitchen.
On Saturday we got our family pictures taken at the same place we did last year. It is called Wheeler Farms and it is in Salt Lake City. I love the setting and the weather was perfect! Utah really is a beautiful place!

Quinn was being a little rascal and it took all of our energy to get her to cooperate (and a little bribery). There was one point where we needed her to sit on a wooden box next to Leo. For about 10 minutes we did everything but stand on our heads to get her to sit for 1 second so we could snap a picture of them in the same general area of each other. Leo on the other hand sat on this little wooden box the entire time and did not move. He wasn't really interested in smiling for pictures so we might have a lot of serious pictures of him. Our photographer here is amazing and she was super patient with our little stinker! We have seen 2 pictures so far and they are absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see the rest. I am keeping my fingers crossed for ONE picture where both kids are looking at the camera at the same time.
After the pictures we went to the Disney store as promised and Quinn got to pick out a toy. She loves Tinkerbell right now so it was no surprise when she picked a Pirate Fairy toy. We grabbed lunch down at City Creek and then Dave went to hang out with some of his friends. It was a very busy but great day.
On Veterean's day we went down with some friends to a new children's museum that opened south of Salt Lake. It was really a neat place and they kids loved it.

The best part was this fun water table that Leo could actually sit in and play with the water. He loves to splash in the bathtub so he was one happy boy. He got a little wet but it was worth it.

They had a huge indoor place ground with a "sloth hold" timer. Quinn was pretty good at it and she held on for a long time. She loved the big slide and the rope bridges. I was wore out after carrying her over the bridges! Going to the museum was a lot of work for the grown ups. There was a cute children's "town" with fun areas for the kids. Quinn loved the dance theater part and her and daddy had fun following the video. She was passed out in the car in less than 5 minutes. It was a great place and we are already planning to take cousin Nolan when he comes to visit in January.

We finished the day with Leo's first haircut. It had grown into a pretty sweet mullet so we thought it was time to cut it. I didn't realize how long it was until she took the clippers to it and the hair started falling off his little head. He did great and just sat still the whole time. He looked like such a big boy after it was done. The whole time we were there Quinn kept saying "I not get my hair cut. It's too long. Leo get his hair cut."

weekends are good, life is good
