Black Island Farms

Today we went to a farm near our house called Black Island Farms. It was military appreciation weekend so Dave got in for free and I got in for a discount. It was very cute and reminded me of Niederman's Farm at home.

We went on a hayride and got to pick out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. Quinn was great just like she always is. She just goes along with whatever we do. We got two big pumpkins and one little pumpkin for Quinn. It was fun, the guy driving the tractor came out and cut the pumpkin from the vine for you. Well actually he said "if you didn't bring your knife, I can cut the pumpkin for you." We just so happened to forget our knife and he cut our pumpkins.

After the hayride we went over to the rest of the farm. They have a corn maze, animals you can see, pig  races, slides, a jumping house and a lot of other things. It was very slow today because it is Sunday (everybody goes to church and not many people are out and about on Sundays) so they didn't have a lot  of things going on while we were there. We didn't end up doing the corn maze because we both wore sandals and didn't want our feet to get gross. So we are just going to have to go back and do the maze. We also got a pie pumpkin from the farmer's market so that I can make a pumpkin pie.

After we got back from the farm we went on a walk at a cute park by our house. Sammy jumped out of the back of the Pilot and scraped his chin and it was bleeding. Poor little guy, I bet he doesn't jump out again. Now chicken and dumplings are finished in the crock pot and two of our favorite TV shows start tonight. It is a great Sunday.

Quinn's 6 month pictures

We got Quinn's 6 month pictures taken a few weeks ago and they turned out great! We went to a cute little park in downtown Salt Lake and had an amazing photographer, Amy. Quinn did a great job and was cheesing it up!
I can't believe she is 7 months old already. Time sure is flying. She is such a great baby. She only cries when she is hungry and tired. I swear she is going to have Dave's personality because she is so laid back. She does have a little bit of me in her too..... when you take something away from her that she wants (i.e. my iPhone) she lays on the floor and kicks her legs and cries. She isn't crawling yet but she tries to stand up every chance that she gets. I just love that baby so much! Here are some of my favorites of the little lady.

Like I said she is 7 months old!! Here are some pictures we took with her 7 month sticker.

Park City Trip

Over Labor Day weekend we went up to Park City to spend the long weekend with Dave's side of the family. His sisters, dad and nieces all came. It was nice to have everybody together, we have not seen his nieces since Thanksgiving.
We stayed in an awesome house right next to Main Street so we were able to walk to the shops and restaurants. We also went to the Olympic Park while we were there. At Olympic Park we watched previous and future olympians jumping into a pool to practice their jumps. Dave,  his dad, Julie and Han rode on a bobsled on the Olympic bobsled course and then we all rode a zip line. Park City might be my favorite part of Utah so far. It is such a cute little town and I can't wait to go and see it once it snows. Here are several pictures of our trip.
