The holidays were good and my family really helped me not feel alone. It was hard not having Dave home but it will make me really appreciate the holidays he is home.
Then the BEST part of January was when Dave came home! It was so great but really stressful at the same time. He was supposed to be home at the beginning of the week but then it got moved to Saturday morning. Some people might think a couple days after 6 months isn't a big deal but after you have been waiting so long for that day it is really really hard to have to wait even more. Then we found out it would be Saturday night, no check that, Sunday morning. Well I have learned that nothing with the military is ever set in stone because after a million changes and cancelled flights Dave finally got home Sunday night. It has been so GREAT to have him home.
A few weeks ago we finally got to have our reception. It was great to have all of our family and friends in one place to celebrate. The night was perfect for us and we had SO much fun. I really think we have the best family and friends ever! After the reception we went to Maui for our "honeymoon". I think it was the best vacation I have ever been on.
