Christmas at home

We went home for Christmas this year. It was so nice to be with family and friends for the holidays. We had a great time minus the fiasco with the dogs and the stomach flu.
A quick run down of the dog situation-got a call from the kennel that Charlie "attacked" Sammy and that Sammy had to be taken to the vet and have surgery. This happened day 1 of our 11 day trip home. We know that Charlie would never do that and 4 different stories from the kennel makes us think they are not telling us something. What we finally got was that there was another dog/dogs involved and the kennel worker was fired that day. BUT Sammy is doing fine and we are thankful for that!

The stomach flu attacked my brother-in-law, sister, me and my dad all during our trip. That was fun.
Quinn was so much fun at Christmas. She loved taking paper out of gift bags but wasn't too interested in unwrapping presents. She got a lot of super cute presents from our friends and family and we are thankful for that! When she saw Santa Claus she just looked at him and didn't cry.
Her and Nolan had so much fun together and we loved watching them play. One night at my sister's we were all sitting around watching the kiddos play and asked "what did we ever do before them? Life was so boring!"
I think Quinn helped to make Dave like Christmas a little bit more too!
We were able to spend a lot of time with family and friends, eat some yummy Cincinnati food and go to the Aquarium. The trip was not nearly long enough and we can't wait until our next time home.

Christmas is good, Life is good!

11 months old!

I swear everybody says it but where does the time go?! I can not believe she is 11 months old already. I keep thinking... last year at this time she was in my belly! I am planning her first birthday party and I just don't know how that happened. She is the happiest baby and we love her so much. These pictures are not the best. She was being a little rambunctious that day and kept trying to take her sticker off.

I guess time flies when you are having fun!

10 months old and moving

So I am a little late on this post since I am about to take her 11 month pictures this week. I can't believe how fast time goes. It really makes me just want to slow down time and take a million more pictures. This month was eventful for Quinn. We went to Las Vegas for a weekend to visit friends and went to Ohio to spend Christmas with family (I will post more about that later).
Quinn is signing "more" all the time and now every time she wants food she says "mum mum mum mum". She also started walking! She had first started walking along the couches and one night at a friend's house she took 7 steps. After that she was taking a few steps here and there but when we were home for Christmas she really started moving. Now we can't keep her in the living room! She will go straight to the stairs and if we block the stairs straight to the dog bowls. We are having trouble trying to find a way to close off the living room because the opening into the room is very large. The stairs also have an open banister so we can't figure out how to gate that either. So this means we do a lot of chasing at our house these days!
Quinn is just the happiest baby, she loves to dance to music and she LOVES the dogs. It was so cute how excited she got when we picked them up from the kennel.

We went to Denver for Thanksgiving and here are some picture of our trip. We had so much fun and can't wait until our next trip. Quinn loves spending time with her cousins and aunts.

2012 in review

This year went by so fast and we had  A LOT  and I mean A LOT of changes in the Jarnot house. I learned this year how blessed we are with amazing family and friends (both old and new). Here is a quick run down of our 2012:

We found out we were moving...... to Utah.... out of nowhere when I was 38 weeks pregnant.
We had a baby!!!!! (Best part of 2012)

We spent a lot of sleepless nights learning how to take care of a baby.

We put our house up for sale.
We went to visit Utah so that I could interview for new jobs.

We found out we sold our house on the way home from Utah after only being on the market for 7 days. (I really miss that house!)
I cried a lot about leaving our house, family, friends and my job.
Uncle Kevin graduated from The Ohio State University. (That was a very eventful trip with new little babies)

Quinn had her first Easter.
Quinn and Nolan both got baptized.

Dave and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary and he bought us tickets to see Michael Jackson cirque du soleil show.
We moved into my sister and brother-in-laws house for a few months. That was such a great time and we are so thankful that they love us enough to let us stay with them!

We spent a lot of time with family and friends before we moved.

We had family pictures done.

Uncle Kevin moved to South Korea to teach English for 14 months. We miss him like crazy but are so proud of him taking full advantage of life and living his dreams!

I quit my job. It was very hard to leave Children's, I loved working there! I look forward to going back when we get back to Ohio. I miss all of my co-workers like crazy!!
We went on vacation to Nags Head, North Carolina and had a great time.

Quinn did not like the sand at first.

I love those chunky legs!

We moved across the county with a five month old, 2 dogs and 2 cars. Luckily my parents were able to come with us and they helped out a ton!
We added some fun to the move and went to Las Vegas for the first of three trips this year.

Aunt Julie came and helped us make our new house a "home" and we were so thankful for her help!
Quinn started daycare.
Dave and I both started new jobs.
We went back to Las Vegas to see my sister and brother-in-law and of course Nolan!

On the way to Las Vegas we visited Zion National Park.

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Park City with Dave's family and visited the Olympic Park.

I quit my first job to start a second job at the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind and love it there!
We made some really great new friends. It is so nice to have people we enjoy being with since our family is so far away.
We went home for Nolan's first birthday party!

Dave went on TDY and Quinn and I spent our first time alone in the new house. Luckily we had friends to keep us company and were able to go see some local witches. (trying to get 4 kids to smile for a picture is difficult).

Dave's sister and nieces came to Salt Lake City and we got to spend a weekend with them.
We went to Denver for Quinn's first Thanksgiving.
We went to Vegas for the third trip to see some of our friends that were in town for a convention.

We went down to temple square to see the Christmas lights.

We went home for Christmas and had an amazing time with our family and friends. The trip was not nearly long enough and we are exited for them to come visit us over the next few months. Quinn met Santa and she didn't even cry!

We rang in the new year with our friends here in Utah and slept in until noon today as a family.

This year was full of changes. I learned a lot about myself and appreciate everybody who made this year so wonderful for our family. I am looking forward to 2013 and what it will bring!

Blessings are good... life is GREAT.
