The other weekend we went to dinner at one of our favorite places, Station Park. It is an outdoor mall with a fountain in the middle and a really good pizza place. Quinn loves that there is a Claire's (she calls it the princess store) and gets to pick out a bow when we go. We had a great dinner at our pizza place then got ice cream and watched the fountain show. The kids love to throw money into the fountain and run around the grassy area. While we were getting our ice cream we realized we had forgot our leftovers on the table and went back but they were already gone. The manager saw what had happened and she made us a whole new pizza to go! I thought that was very nice of her and this pregnant lady really appreciated that the next day at lunch. We always have a great family night out when we go there.
On Saturday we got up and headed downtown on the train to go to Greekfest. Dave (and I) love going to Greekfest and we have gone every year since we have lived here. Crazy to think this was our last one in Utah because next year we will be living somewhere else!
Trying to get a picture before boarding the train.
Leo has recently become train obsessed. He needs to go to bed with his train blanket and a few of his little magnetic trains every night. He gets so excited to wear his train PJ's or t-shirts. All of a sudden he is also interested in watching the TV if it is Thomas or Chuggington. I was excited to take him on the train because I knew he was going to love it. He looked out the window and yelled "choo choo" for most of the ride.
Like always the food was the best part. Leo ate pretty much everything off our plates but his favorite was the Greek rice. Quinn picked a salad for her meal and ate almost the whole thing and then her and daddy got to split a baklava sundae and everybody was happy.
We ate a lot of great food, watched the dancers and checked out the kids section. Last year they had face painting and Quinn was so excited to get hers painted like Elsa, but this year they did not have it. She was so disappointed. Now the next time we are somewhere and they have face painting I need to let her get it done. She did enjoy a few overpriced slides on a bouncy house and then we got some cookies to go. We headed back home on the train and Dave and Leo passed out on the ride back. It was a great family outing and we ate a lot of good Greek food!
That weekend I was 34 weeks pregnant (now 35) and am feeling very tired lately. Baby girl is kicking me like crazy at night and keeps me up most of the time. I was hoping to get a lot of things done this past week but we have been passing a stomach bug back and forth so nothing has been accomplished. We need to get on it because ready or not she is going to be here soon!
These are just a couple of pictures I had on my phone that I loved. Charlie is such a good dog and lately he has not been getting enough attention because of all the sickness. This evening he was passed out on the pillow and I thought it was the cutest. Leo is also loving Quinn's pink rain boots lately and wants to wear them all the time. He finds them, puts them on himself and happily walks around in sisters' boots. I need to look into getting him a pair of train boots. We had a great weekend and spent a lot of time together making memories.
Weekends are good, life is good.
