This is a picture Dave sent me one evening while I was out and he was home with the kids. Leo was so tired he didn't even make it through dinner. I thought this was the sweetest.
Over Labor Day weekend Papaw Richard flew into Utah to take a road trip with us to Denver for Jen and Ryan's wedding reception. Quinn was so excited Papaw Richard was in town. They always keep him on his toes when he is around. Living so far from grandparents is hard so we always enjoy when we get to spend time with them!
We headed to Denver Friday morning/ afternoon, of course about 5 hours later than we anticipated. We are the worst at getting on the road early! The kids did amazing as usual and we only had to stop one time on this trip. Quinn's favorite part of the drive is a tunnel we get to go through in Wyoming. She gets so excited when we get there and always asks if there are more tunnels. Leo did great and played with his trains for most of the drive.
It was a great weekend and we packed in a lot of fun. We were able to spend time with Julie and Han and it is super fun to watch the kids and Braxton interact. They have a great time together. It was very challenging for me because Leo does not sleep well if we have to share a room with him. He is a great sleeper at home with his routine but out of his routine and he is rough. The first night I don't think we slept more than 20 minutes. The next two nights he did much better but it was still difficult because I am so uncomfortable with sleeping and then having to share a room with him and it is rough!
We had a great time celebrating Jen and Ryan's marriage and Quinn loved being around her cousins. Leo was a wild man at the reception and was hamming it up for the camera. Also, while in Denver Dave and I were able to get dinner with my friend Lynsey and Mike from grad school and then enjoy a date night at the theater. The weekend went way too fast like always but we were glad we were able to be there. It is going to be hard when we leave Utah because we have got so spoiled being able to drive over to Denver to see family. It is crazy the next time we go to Denver we will have 3 kids!
Loving on Aunt Jen.
Quinn has started playing soccer and she loves it. She is actually pretty good and it is fun to watch her run around with the other kids. Leo likes to go to watch her play and kick a ball around with daddy.
Weekends are good, life is good
