Wheels of Wonder

On Friday they had an event on base called Wheels of Wonder. They had a couple parking lots filled with trucks and vehicles that the kids could look at and climb inside. It was a beautiful day and I am glad we decided to go. It is an event to get out of the house with all three kids by myself. It seems that somebody is always needing something and a lot of times I just stay home because it is easier or wait until Q is at school because going somewhere with 2 is easier than 3. But I knew Leo would love this as he is all of a sudden loving anything with wheels. When we first got there Leo was being a little shy, he is like that in new environments. The whole drive there he talked about seeing a firetruck. That happened to be what we saw first and he loved it, both kids got hats and wore them the whole time.
The kids loved climbing into the back of the moving truck and we talked about how one of those would be coming to our house soon. They even got cute little Uhaul banks that they love. Another big hit were the tractors.
They had a few booths set up and the kids got to get lemonade and popcorn. It was a really fun outing. Leo was smiling and walking around holding his popcorn, it melted my heart. They were letting people climb into the garbage truck and honk the horn. Every time Leo heard it he started laughing. Quinn climbed up and honked the horn (while covering her ears) but Leo said it was "too loud." He spent a lot of the event holding his ears.
Both kids loved the ambulance and the camper. Quinn was excited that the camper had a bed in it.
We had a great time and when we were leaving Leo said his favorite part was the fire truck and Quinn said hers was getting milk from the milk truck. Finley was a trooper and slept in her seat most of the time. I love that I get to be home and spend times like these with the kids.
Quinn is the best big sister. She loves Finley.

Leo loves Spiderman right now.
When we first got there, Leo was not interested in pictures. He slowly came around.

I love these kiddos.
Now he is happy and wearing his shoes on the wrong feet, like always.

Of course, this car was a big hit. It used to be General Patton's jeep and has been restored.

Leo is happy but he doesn't like the noise!
Also on Friday, Finley got to get a bath with the big kids. Everybody was loving it.
And this is how I found these two that night, snuggling up and watching a movie.

Trucks are good, life is good.
