Daddy's boots
Quinn currently loves shoes. She is very picky about what shoes she wears and will throw a fit if she doesn't have on the ones she wants. Earlier this week I sent her to daycare in shoes that she doesn't typically wear to school and she spent the day throwing fits and taking them off. She even put them in the trash a few times. When I am getting ready in the morning she will bring me shoes from my closet and say "momma shoes." Today she was playing on the steps (I know, I know.. not the safest but she likes to turn the landing light on and off and I was sitting right there) and when I looked over I found her in Dave's boots. It was the cutest so I had to grab my camera and take some pictures.

Trip Home
A few weeks ago Quinn and I went home for a week. It was such a fun trip and much too short. We aren't going back until after the baby is born so that made leaving really hard this time. It is also crazy to think that next time I am home I will have 2 kids and so will my sister!
Quinn and Nolan were so cute together. They always take a few days to get used to each other and he only tackled her a couple of times. They are so funny to watch together.
We had a packed week which included Nolan's birthday party, going to a pumpkin patch and attending a friends retirement ceremony. It was nice that Dave was able to come in for a few days and spend some time at home also.
Here are some pictures of our trip.

She loves her pa-paw
Just comparing apps :)
We had a great time and are very happy that we got to see so many of our family and friends. The trip was too short like always! Next time we are home we will be a family of 4! I can't even imagine how that plane ride is going to be.

Evening Chat with Grandma
Quinn loves phones (maybe we are on ours too much?!) and loves to facetime with my mom. Lately every time we facetime her, Quinn asks "where's papaw?" It is too cute. Today while talking to my mom Quinn decided she wanted to sit grandma in the chair next to her and have a little chat. She then decided grandma should ride down the car track and put the phone at the top and said "ready, go!" I love technology, it really makes being away from family so much easier. It is cute to see Quinn "playing" with grandma just like she was here. We are super excited to go home next week and Quinn and grandma can really play together.
Quinn's new favorite thing to do is play daycare. It took me a couple of times of her doing this to figure out what was going on. She takes out garbage bags and lays them on the floor, then puts her dolls down, covers them with blankets and then sits between them and pats their backs. At daycare, they take naps on the floor and the teachers will pat the kids' backs when they don't go to sleep right away. She will do this forever- just moving them around and covering them up. It is so cute!!
Playing is good, life is good.

A little update
Quinn was playing so cute today and I decided to get the camera out and take some pictures. She is getting so big, so fast and maybe it is the hormones but it makes me cry every time I think about it! She is so fun right now and talking so much!!! I can't even begin to tell you how many words she has but she is putting together 2 and 3 word phrases all the time. I love watching her language grow and how she learns new things everyday. Her current favorites include: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (thank goodness we are now past "Maters Tall Tales"- I don't know how much more I could take), princesses, coloring (on paper, chairs, toys, floors, doors, etc.), bath time, Ring Around the Rosie, baby dolls and jumping on the couch.
She is also a fan of belly buttons and loves to lift up your shirt and push your belly button then lift up her shirt and show you hers. She will lift up my shirt and kiss my belly and say "baby", it is the cutest!
Today she was loving this green dog that talks and sings songs. She was putting it in her stroller and pushing it around. Then she found my sunglasses and had to wear those. I swear she is going to be a fashionista.
Here are pictures of our playtime today:
Quinn is also a fan of the dogs. I think she likes Charlie more. She is always pulling at Sammy and trying to hurt him. With Charlie she will yell his name all the time and give him kisses before we leave in the morning. I think I yell at the dogs too much because she will also do her share of yelling at them and telling them they are "bad." I love how she tells them to sit and how she likes to climb on top of Charlie to get onto the couch. Sammy was not interested in getting his picture taken (probably because most times he is around Quinn she is trying to rip his ear off).
Life in general is good. Dave is really busy with work but doing lots of great things. I am busy at work and trying to get back into the swing of things after having all summer off. I think I am already in maternity mode even though I still have 4 more months (oops!). Fall is starting to arrive in Utah and it is beautiful. We have a lot of things we want to do with Quinn this fall and it will be fun to see how she reacts to everything. We are going to be in Ohio for my nephew's birthday party and I can't wait to see everybody.
Baby boy is growing and I am feeling great. Feeling pretty emotional some days and having a hard time sleeping already but overall feeling great! At my last ultrasound baby boy was measuring a little ahead of schedule so we will see if he comes early or is just big! We still don't have a name and we aren't even really close to a name to be honest. I have started to get things together slowly and have a few things for the nursery. I am 21 weeks today so we need to start getting some things ready because with all the holidays coming up, he is going to be here before we know it!

Baby Jarnot #2 is a.........
My friend Ashlee threw us a "gender reveal" party yesterday. We had a few of our friends over to help us discover what we are having! Everybody knows I am impatient so I went and got a gender ultrasound as soon as I could. THEN, I had to wait ALL DAY to find out! I am glad I waited and didn't cheat because it was so much fun. Here are some pictures of the evening:
How cute!
Dave thought boy and I thought girl.
Getting ready........
It's blue!!!!
She is not happy about having a baby brother! (Or maybe she just didn't like the silly string.)
Family of 3 soon to be 4!
We had fun spending the evening with our friends and finding out baby Jarnot #2 is a BOY! We have a lot of shopping to do but I am super excited for our growing family.
Friends are good, life is good.

Busy Busy Summer
This summer is flying by! We have been very busy and doing lots of fun things. I can't believe I go back to work in a few short weeks. I will blog about each thing below individually (hopefully) but for now I will give a quick run down:
We went to Colorado and spent Father's Day weekend with the family. It was fun to watch my sister-in-law's dance studio recital and we got to see baby Braxton and Grandpa Richard.
The next week we went to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks after I attended a hearing loss conference. It was such a fun trip and the parks were beautiful. We are looking forward to going back again.

I was very lucky and got to spend 3 weeks in Ohio and see my family. My brother came home and it was the first time we saw him in 13 months! I got to relax a lot at home because my mom is a saint. Quinn and Nolan have a love/hate relationship and are so fun to watch together. We had the 5th annual cornhole tournament and Dave and my Aunt Vicki were the winners. We did lots of other fun things that I will talk about in a later post.
We also did all of this while I have been having extreme morning (all day) sickness!!!!
We are very excited to announce that baby Jarnot #2 will be arriving around February 3, 2014. This pregnancy has been much more difficult then Quinn's. I have been SO sick since 6 weeks and here we are at week 13 and it is still rough. I know it is all worth it and Dave keeps telling me "I will forgot all about it soon" and I hope that is true.
We may be in trouble with little Miss Quinn when baby comes. The other day she shoved her baby doll into her toy stove and while visiting some friends' newborn yesterday, she threw herself on the floor crying when I held the baby!
Speaking of Quinn, she is a talking machine! I think she picks up a new word everyday. Her new words for this weekend were "yu you" (love you) and waffle. I will do a whole "Quinn Post" and update you on all of her fabulousness soon.
I hope you enjoyed the quick update on our lives and I will be sharing more soon.
