Playing in the snow

We got back from Ohio on a Sunday and it started snowing that night and did not stop until Tuesday morning. We got about 8-10 inches. Then it snowed more a few more days that week. I didn't need to go anywhere so I didn't mind. Quinn's school was actually cancelled one day which never happens here! The kids loved it and so did Charlie. When Dave got home from work they loved being able to go out and help him shovel the driveway. I loved that I "needed" to stay inside with Finley and could stay warm.

Charlie loves to jump at the snow and he was in heaven.

Leo does not like wearing clothes and would never wear pants if I didn't make him. I went outside to help for a second and next thing I know he is standing outside with no pants on!! Once he decided he would wear clothes he was able to go back out and play. The pile of snow next to the driveway got so high that Quinn started to sled down it.

Earlier that day the kids went out to play. It was the first time Leo has really played in the snow and remembered it. He wasn't too sure about it. After he saw how much fun Quinn was having, he decided he also liked it. The first coat I found was Quinn's old one so he got to rock the pink and blue coat.

Charlie loves getting his frisbee and tossing snow everywhere.
She has been wanting to make snow angels forever now. So she was super happy to be able to go out and make one.
We got a lot of snow!

After playing in the snow we came inside for some hot coco.

I could not find my cell phone cover that night and decided I would just look for it in the morning. Well, while unloading the dishwasher the next day I found it. Leo loves to put things in the dishwasher. I am just glad it was my cover and not my phone and now it is nice and clean.
Leo loves his Finley and loves to give her kisses. I love this picture of him smooching her. She is already almost 3 months old and starting to sleep much better. She is an easy baby and we are so happy she is here!

Snow is good, life is good.

Polar Express

We went on the Polar Express train ride last night and it was magical. The kids were in heaven. The drive there was a little scary (for me), we have to drive through a canyon and it was snowing pretty hard. I am very glad Dave was driving. We literally made it on the train about 1 minute before it left! I thought they would wait a few minutes because of the snow and it causing people to be late... nope! Quinn and Leo were so excited and Quinn kept asking the whole drive there if the train was going to leave us! We need to work on being on time more or she might get anxiety about missing things!!
This is just because I love this sweet girl. She is staring to smile and more importantly sleep more!

When we got on the train we got cookies and hot coco. The kids loved every minute of it. Looking out the windows with the snow and the mountains all around us was beautiful. I can't think of a prettier place to go on a North Pole ride.

They did a great job and kept the kids entertained. We sang songs (and I think we had the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on our train, everybody was a great singer... I just moved my lips), told jokes and they even had a fiddle player. When we approached the North Pole there were lights and Santa was waiting! Quinn thought it was the coolest thing ever and Leo was just pumped to be on a train. I think Finley had sensory overload and when she was out of the carrier was wide eyed.

Santa brought everybody bells which was very cute.

Finley checking out the big man.

Leo was too sweet and got up to grab Q's bell when she dropped it and nobody even asked him to. They are developing the sweetest relationship and I love watching them together.

Quinn and daddy on the train ride back to Utah. We had a wonderful time and I am glad we were able to spend this time together. It was a great night.
They were more interested in checking out the train instead of looking at the camera. Since the kids (or Dave) had not watched the Polar Express movie we decided to watch that today. Leo loved it and Quinn spent half the movie hiding on the stairs asking if somebody was going to get in trouble or die. I think Dave watches too many action movies around her.

Polar Express is good, life is good.

Dave's Ohio Pictures

Since I am so far behind in blogging I am just going to be doing picture dumps until the end of the year so I can get as many blogs as possible done before I print my 2015 book. These are the pictures from home that I got off of Dave's phone. It is going to take me too long to do one post and combine the pictures, so here is post #1 from our December Ohio trip.
The kids are very spoiled by Aunt Vic and she brought over some presents for them to open while we were home. They love Aunt Vic and they loved the gifts she got them. She brought me Milton's donuts and they were the greatest like always. Aunt Vic is the most thoughtful person and we all love her very much!

Leo loves his trains.
We were able to attend Nolan's Christmas program for preschool and it was super cute. Quinn loved watching Nolan sing and at one point said "thats my boy." I love getting them together and getting to attend family things like this with everybody.

We went to Entertrainment Junction while we were home and Leo loved it. Quinn liked it also but Leo was in heaven. The little boys got to ride on the train while Nolan and Quinn were off playing together.

Finally a picture of me on the blog!
Leo was NOT interested in seeing Santa this day. We went and saw Santa the next day and he was fine with him but this day, he wouldn't even get near him. Quinn loved him and told him she wanted a  "kitty cat on wheels."
I wanted to get their picture in this cute candy photo spot but Leo was not in the mood. A kind lady was walking by and started to play peek-a-boo with him and he was all smiles. I was able to get a cute photo because of her!
We were able to grab dinner with Papaw Richard one night and the kids loved it, I think he enjoyed it also.
I found this sign at a cute Ohio store and I am going to have to get myself one made. I love Ohio and it will always be home.
We went to the Festival of Lights one evening and the weather was perfect. Quinn and Nolan had a great time together and I always love going, reminds me of when we used to go when I was little with my Aunt Libby.

Finley got to meet many people on this trip including Chad and Courtney (well kind of met them, she slept through dinner) and Great Grandma. Like always, our trip home was too short and I can't wait to go back. I will have more posts with other picture dumps from our trip.

Home is good, life is good.
